Winter Clothing 2010 by designer label Zambesi

Along with Karen Walker, World and Nom*D, Zambesi is at the heart of  New Zealand designer fashion, exporting to all corners of the globe in renowned style. Zambesi was founded in 1979 and has continued its tradition of acclaimed designer fashion for men and women. Although traditionally founded as a womenswear label, a menswear line was added in 1996, with a full mens clothing line added in 2003.

Zambesi has been a regularly at Australian Fashion Week since 1997 and was part of the famous ‘New Zealand Four’ that showed in 1999 at London Fashion Week (the other three being the other NZ trendsetters -  Karen Walker, Nom*D and World). Zambesi found its feet in the NZ and Australian markets in the 1980′s and early 90′s before taking on the world in the late 90′s. 1998 was a big year for Zambesi, as international fashion retail houses Liberty of London and Charivari of New York brought Zambesi truly out if its shell. Other selected regions that sell the prestigious fashion label include Japan, Russia, Hong Kong, UK and Singapore.
