10 New Years Fashion Resolutions for 2010
By Marianna Tigani The bon bons have been broken, lights turned off, feasts ceased and presents unwrapped (and returned); yes, Christmas is over once more. We now look to the New Year and start thinking about what we will do differently. It is time to make some resolutions and actually stick to them. Forget about racking your brain for your own; Australian Fashion Review has the only resolutions you will need for 2010. (Images sourced from Vogue.com.au and designers – we do not claim any ownership of the images) 1 – I will make wise investments Little black dresses are timeless. Get your money’s worth out of this one by Lisa Ho (AW2010).
2 – I will get fitter and leaner (or at least give the impression I have) Willow’s curved tailoring, cut-outs and cinched waists in block colours instantly carve those few Xmas kilos
3 – I will be more outgoing Put yourself out there in bright tones and prints in simple flowy shapes from Ginger & Smart.
4 – I will act more like a lady Juli Grbac offers the perfect antithesis to rock ‘n’ roll style (so 2009) with soft fleshy and pastel tones cascading in traditional feminine shapes.
5 – I will try to understand my boyfriend better Step into your other half’s wardrobe and get inside his head with this masculine street look resplendent with football player shoulders by Cassette Society.
6 – I will seek advice from those who are older and wiser Learn how to dress for an occasion from those who have been doing this forever… the true masters of Australian style: Nicola Finetti, Collette Dinnigan, Aurelio Costarella
7 – I will relax more Gary Bigeni’s softly draped jersey pieces make looking fashionable so simple. Perfect as a travel solution or just on those days when being fussy isn’t an option.
8 – I will learn more about other cultures Eastern influences are subtly woven into Akira Isogawa’s Spring summer collection through shape, print and embellishment.
9 – I will make some new friends Start your new designer friendship by looking to fashion’s brightest new stars. (left) Fernando Frisoni – austere elegance in soft yet challenging shapes, (right) Michael Lo Sordo – feminine ruffles & bright colours in reworked silhouettes
10 – I will stay fashion-informed every week with fashionreview.com.au and recommend it to all my friends. We wish you all a very Happy New Year and look forward to bringing you the fashion trends of the next decade.

Australian fashion style is so timely . Australian’s fashion is timely since it showcases the forecasted colors for year 2010. Blue and silver are the major colors for 2010. I like to wear Australian’s fashion since it gives me a contemporary look.
