neverblack Clothing Label – Womenswear 2011Founded in 2010 in New Zealand by Jeremy Maclaurin (creative director), Martin Chapman (graphic designer) and Chelsea Thorpe (designer). This is the debut collection by neverblack (to be showcased at the 2010 New Zealand Fashion Week – September). However, Chapman and Maclaurin’s are also founders of the already established streetwear brand NVAH. Spring/Summer 2010 – 11 – white heat / white light In the white heat of a sweet summer evening a young girl dances amongst the fallen petals of her mothers white roses. The sun is at it’s highest on this sweltering evening the white light creates the illusion that this young girl is a little elf out on an evening dance. The Velvet Undeground gently wafts from the record player on the veranda while her mother reclines on the old battered sofa. It is the late 60′s, love is free and everything is wonderful. – neverblack
