This summer season, dude looks like a lady!
Namesake swimwear label, Nathan Paul has built itself a reputation for creating Australia’s most avant garde swimwear, since its launch in 2009. Landing on the main stage in 2010 at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week, with the unveiling of their visionary ‘Journeys’ collection, the brand has refused to look back, continuing to create swimwear that combines European sophistication with Australian beach culture. Using top quality fabrics source from Italy, the label’s seasonal lines are designed and produced locally. Since the Nathan Paul brand has complete ownership of the manufacturing and print facility, the styles in each collection can be customised in any colour way on request. In addition all garments are tested for colour fastness and are UV protected as well as being accredited by “Ethical Clothing Australia”.
The Spring/Summer 2012-2013 collection, entitled ‘Day of the Dead’ is inspired by the Mexican festival of the same name and features bold colours, playful skull and skeleton prints, mixed in with distinctive typography. The womenswear line consists of cropped tops, dramatic v-lines, high-waisted shorts and statement one-pieces; and the menswear line offers a varied selection of swim shorts, from the Bemuda to the barely there trunks.
To accompany the collection, is a truly innovative campaign featuring androgynous male model Andrel Pejic, who not only models the menswear line, but also convincingly models the womenswear line too. So without further ado we present the Spring/Summer 2012-2103 collection from Nathan Paul…Enjoy!
