Top quality tailoring and basics for the contemporary gentleman
Morning Theft is an Adelaide-based menswear fashion label, founded by designer and full-time teacher Tom Guerin in late 2010. With music one of Tom’s greatest inspirations, he named his brand after a song from one of his favourite musicians, Jeff Buckley – it was his music that influenced the brand’s ethos: “If it feels good, do it”. There are no grandiose inspirations behind Tom’s collections, instead he creates pieces that he himself wants to wear, which reflect his life at that particular moment in time – the resultant aesthetic combines crafty cuts and quality fabrics to provide the contemporary gentlemen with all the essentials he needs.
Tom follows on with his signature laid back aesthetic with his Autumn/Winter 2012 collection entitled ‘The Heart Feels Free”. The seasonal offering featuring sharp outerwear, finely tailored shirting; relaxed leisurewear, cosy knitwear and slim fit suiting to take the contemporary gentleman through to spring and beyond. The colour palette is rich and earthy, consisting of camel, navy blues, black, slate grey, deep maroon and racing green, with pops of pillar box red, sky blue and crisp white.
The Autumn/Winter 2012 collection from the brand also features a range of footwear to complement the mainline collection. The footwear range features beaded moccasins, super shiny Brogues, stylish slip-ons and lace up boots in typically autumnal colours of tan, brown and black.
