The Milk & Honey fashion label is known for its cute, girly aesthetic that emphasises femininity with their free-flowing, yet chic garments. Their seasonal collections always have an element of fun, with trend inspired prints, featured on flirty dresses and quirky tops, to be teamed with a stylish tulip skirt or the brand’s signature embellished tank.

  • Autumn/Winter 2011: The collection, entitled ‘Love and Chaos’, is a story of the sweet surrender caught within chaotic moments. It is this contradiction that forms the central theme of the collection, as seen in contrasting textures, prints and colours. The collection is all about juxtaposition; girly floral mini-dresses are teamed with tough utility jackets; digital printed tees are clashed with acid wash animal print jeans; and oversized sweater tops are matched with super skinny jeans. The winter jacket is a key staple throughout the collection, coming in a range of styles, from tuxedo jackets, utility style parkers and distressed leather jackets. Stand out pieces in the collection include the military-inspired ‘Chaos Cape’ and the ‘Tallulah Party Dress’ with its layers of black tulle.

Ruby Rose for Milk & Honey

“I think of fashion as art, not clothing and it’s a way to express yourself without words. So when the opportunity came up to work with Milk and Honey, I was ecstatic. Scrap that – I was ridiculously overjoyed and inspired.” – Ruby Rose.

In June 2010 MTV Host, DJ and Australian icon Ruby Rose revealed she has been working with Milk & Honey to create a capsule collection for the brand, ‘Milk & Honey designed by Ruby Rose’. The first Milk and Honey designed by Ruby Rose range embodied Ruby’s unique and edgy personal style. The collection featured graphic singlets and t-shirts adorned with messages of equality and self expression as well as original art designed by the Milk and Honey team; in a large variety of styles, colours and treatments; and mini dresses with foiling and rock chick biker jackets.

As of the Summer 2011-2012 season, Ruby Rose had created four exceptional capsule collections of Milk & Honey, in their highly successful and hopefully long-running collaboration.

  • Ruby Rose Summer 2011-2012: Her fourth collection for Milk & Honey entitled ‘Infinity Tour’ takes us on a journey to ‘Americanville’. Think Harlequin dreams and trashed denim.
