Mere Footwear began back in 2009, when Australian designer James Noakes had the desire and passion to produce quality hand-crafted leather shoes for men and women, that are high on style, yet easy on the pocket. Manufacture in Vietnam, using the finest leathers and suedes, James is hands on through each step of production in the creation of each Mere Footwear collection – from dying the leathers, to overseeing the final few stitches, ensuring the finest quality and a sense of individualism in the footwear they produce.

There is no complicated and convoluted design philosophy, or empty promises with Mere Footwear, their motto is simple:

Mere shoes can’t help you fly, or live underwater.
Our shoes can’t bring world peace, or stop famine.
They can’t take you back in time & they won’t help you find love, or a cheeky one night stand.

The Mere footwear label continues with this motto with their Autumn/Winter 2012 collection, entitled ‘Through The Trees’. Full of deep, rich autumnal hues of night sky blue, coppery neutrals, sandy beige, chocolate brown and icy grey, both the menswear and womenswear lines feature a range of lace-up flats, loafers brogues and boots. In a twist to the more classic styles of footwear, the shoe features either metal triangle stud or triangle cut out detailing.

Made of soft buttery leather and suede, each pair is sure to keep you comfortable and fashionable throughout many seasons. So without any further delay we present the Autumn/Winter 2012 from Mere…Enjoy!
