Please introduce the Masonette label and tell us a little about the style. Masonette Fashion label was established in November 2010 when it was launched at Zsaneta fashion show by designer Jo Mason. It currently specialises in womenswear. Masonette is all about oversized, floaty garments that are whimsical and filled with colour. The style is very lady like and pretty. Masonette uses a colour pallet of soft dusty pinks, cloud blues and purples, and then injects khaki’s and mustards to add colour strength and a strong range. The Masonette girl is that sweet girl next door who dresses for herself; she loves socializing, fashion, has a sweet tooth, and loves tea parties.
What are some inspirations behind the Masonette brand? Fashion, creativity and garment design has always been in the family going back to many generations of women. Jo Mason’s mother being a dress maker gave her the opportunity to learn how to make garments with her keen eye for style. Masonette naturally progressed, into beautiful, lady like fashions.
What are the future plans? Masonette plans to expand nationally and maybe in the future internationally. Masonette draws inspiration from labels such as Zimmerman, Manning Cartell and Sass and Bide.
If you could choose a celebrity that best encapsulates the Masonette style, who would it be? Celebrity style would definitely be Vanessa Paradis for her effortless beauty and femininity that really encapsulates the Masonette girl.
