Marsu Dress Shoes
Marsu Homme – Tailored Dress Shoes
Marsu Homme – Designer Dress Shoes by Chrissy Hammond The birth of Marsu Homme Shoes in 2004 was inspired by a vision to create simple, classic shoes that was timeless in style, yet representative of the modern gentlemen. Seeing a gap in the Australian market for such a mens shoe label, Chrissy Hammond spent two years sourcing quality materials and craftsmans throughout the globe, before finally launching Marsu Homme Shoes in 2006. Marsu Homme prides itself on using the highest quality leathers and applying them to hand crafted designs.
Chrissy Hammond is no new comer to the fashion (or more specifically shoe) scene, with over a decade of experience in designing and making shoes. Chrissy was adopted with her twin sister Nicole from South Korea in 1978 at 6 months of age. Growing up, Chrissy was immersed in a family rich in history of craftsmanship and fashion. This provided the ultimate stepping stone to Chrissy persuing a fine arts degree which then lead to shoe making in 1998. In 2000, she left Australia and ended up in Brighton, England where she worked for shoe designer Paul Harnden, assisting in the shoe collaboration with Comme Des Garcons designer Rei Kawakubo. The experience Chrissy brings to shoe label Marsu Homme is one of the reasons why the Australian label is now recognised as a high quality mens shoe label, stocked within many boutique shops throughout Australia and New Zealand. For summer 2009, Marsu is expanding its shoe horizon with the release of Marsu Homme for Her, a collection of dress shoes for women, inspired by a masculine look and style. The marsu womens shoe collection will feature classic footwear styles including flats and heals. Check out the Marsu Shoes collection here –> Marsu Footwear & Shoes
