Manning Cartell’s Autumn Winter 2010, “Land of Fae” is an exploration of glamour in its most refined sense, enlivened with magical allure and mystery.

Chains, zips and jewels adorn like treasures, finding their way onto statement shoulders and pouring into plunging necklines. Ladylike details are blended with talisman-like accents whilst bows and fine tulle mesh add delicacy to generous coats and giant furs.

Prints are diluted and watercolour-like. A mystical palette of muddy greys and earthy tones is contrasted with awakening injections of bitters and cerise. As always, texture is key: heavy felts, soft silks and jerseys and unexpected treatments like polishing, folding and shine adding luxe and weight.
