The eponymous fashion label was founded in 1993 with Wayne Conway. Kate Sylvester now has three dinstinct lines – Kate Sylvester Womenswear, Kate Sylvester Menswear and Sylvester. The brand also incorporates fashion accessories such as designer eyewear and footwear.

Loved by women who are known to be independant and confident, Kate Sylvester fashion is often described as feminine and provocative – incorporating  intricate detailing with perfect tailoring. More recently, the Kate Sylvester brand name has opted to adopt an act of sustainability and ethics – dedicated to local production and the increasing use of organic fabrics.

At the time of writing (May 2010) there are four flagship stores including Oxford St, Paddington, Sydney -  High St, Auckland, New Zealand, Teed St, Newmarket, New Zealand – Cuba St, Wellington, New Zealand.
