Barbie celebrates 50th birthday in style dressed by Karen Walker

On the 9th of March 2009, the most famous of all toys ‘Barbie’ will celebrate her 50th birthday in youthful style with the exclusive release of Karen Walker Barbie Dolls. Barbie’s birthday will celebrated with the release of five dolls, each dressed in Karen Walker’s latest Autumn and Winter 2009 fashion collection which was recently featured in New York Fashion Week.

The Barbie attire, which has not even hit the stores in human size, will be released by Barbie’s brand Mattel. Karen Walker was exclusively commissioned by Mattel, highlighting the influential nature of the New Zealand born fashion designer.
