Juli Grbac turned all the right heads to win the 2008 Project Runway Australia TV Series. Juli (whos real name is actually Julijana) Grbac is a Brisbane-based fashion designer that has become a household name to many, after her television success. Following on from Project Runway, 2009 saw Juli debut successfully at the Rosemount Australian Fashion Week. Although Juli’s wider successes have been achieved in the recent years, her namesake fashion label was established in 2002. Before that, Juli undertook training at the London school of St Martin’s, and gained experience working with Brisbane-based fashion house Easton Pearson as a production assistant. Juli also studied fashion design at Gateway TAFE, Brisbane. Juli Grbac garments combine intricate sewing and cutting with simple yet elegant feminine designs. The result is a popular, sophisticated look, stocked at some of Australia’s finest retailers, including frockshop.com.au.
