Release from Jamie Fame Menswear with a dirty edge – Jamie Fame Spring summer 2010/11, the disgustingly wearable collection ‘Shedding Skin’ The somber tone of the collection encompasses subtle edgy hints, fused with indie tailoring to create a head to toe collection suitable for those who understand style is derived from subtlety. Brad Pengelly stated the label continues to uphold the disgustingly wearable aesthetic, it centers itself on and is well renowned for. “This collection is designed to wear as comfortably as your own skin” – Brad Pengelly, Designer said. The range inspired by gothic love songs, delves into oversized tanks, wearable tees, light-weight cotton shirts, slim tailored cropped dinner jackets and waistcoats for the top, which can be dressed up or down to suit every occasion. A dirty blend of denim and leather products for the lower half, include skinny leg jeans, relaxed shorts and leather pants as well as a combination of leather trims which are unique to the label. The 100% Australian made fabrics are overdyed to create a customised color pallet including muted greys, mottled blacks, worn navies, olive hints and pale skin shades. The over dyed cottons create an intentional, accelerated ageing process which individualise over time as each garment is worn and washed. A combination of organic cottons and breathable fabrics are so light, airy and pure they will be worn until they become one’s own skin. Shedding Skin is the fifth season from the Australian based designers, which will drop into stores September 1st 2010. Jamie Fame is available in over 20 key boutiques throughout Australia and New Zealand including Dirtbox QLD, Atlas Divine WA, Comeback Kid VIC, The Candy Store NSW, Zero SA and Pitbull Mansion Online.
