Australian Womenswear Fashion Inspired by the Laws of Nature

INJURY is the fashion soundtrack to an enigmatic movie.
For the Spring/Summer 2011-2012 collection, entitled Pollination, Injury’s Creative Director Eugene Leung was inspired by the law of nature, creating a plant-insect hybrid signature graphic for the line. In a mostly monochrome palette with occasional bleeds of colour, other featured prints include DNA, mixed bone marrow, mixed mallow and a hybrid of feather, meteoroid and crystal. The underlying theme of the collection explores reformation of life and rebirth.
The womenswear collection demonstrates a strong sense of individualism, with hard masculine pieces mixed with softer feminine drapery. Stand out pieces od the collection include a traditional tuxedo jacket with a sexy cut-out on the back, a cropped jacket with wing like sleeves; and a one shoulder dress with a subtle print hazxed by a see-through overlay.
So without further ado, we present the Spring/Summer 2011-2012 Womenswear Collection from Injury.
