Getting Featured on Australian Fashion Review

If you are an Australian fashion label/designer/brand and wish to be considered to be featured on Australian Fashion Review, we would like to hear from you. Please follow these steps to get featured. If you do not follow these steps, expect no response.

1. Take note that any written press release or article submission must be unique written content that is not featured on any other website. In other words, a generic press release will not be published.

2. To submit a label/designer/brand bio, ensure that the content is at least 300 words (preferably 400 – 500) and answers the following questions (you can even use these questions as a guide to write your profile)

Introduce your label and the designers – and provide a bio (background/history/training) about each designer

What does the label/designer/brand specialise in? (mens/womens/accessories/streetwear etc)

When and where was the label founded? Where is the label stocked?

What are the future plans for the label?

Name some inspirations and fellow designers you draw inspiration from.

Name the ideal celebrity that reflects your labels style, or if celebrities have already worn the label – who are they?

3. Provide us with the latest lookbook (pdf) so we can add images to our features. If you do not have a lookbook, images with a width of 450 pixels in jpg format will only accepted. Note that we do not appreciate being sent 10mb emails with 2 high-res photos – this is unnecessary.

4. Email us the write up and lookbook/images to the following address with the subject title “Request for Feature”: featureme{at}fashionreview{dot}com{dot}au

Writers/Contributors

Are you a fellow fashionista/fashionisto looking to express your point of view? Are you studying journalism/pr/communications/copywriting and wish to get some online exposure? We have had a number of talented individuals contribute to Australian Fashion Review over the years who have moved on to bigger and better things. If you think you can contribute positively, follow these simple steps to get coverage. If these steps are not followed, expect no response.

1. Write a 300 – 500 word article related to the world of fashion (preferably Australian Fashion although this is not necessary). The article can be either of the following:

An opinion piece - this argues a point of view and is not for people who like to sit on the fence. The article can be positive or negative – do not hold back – the more passionate the better.

A review – have you spotted a trend in a certain collection/season or runway shoot? Has your daily fashion press got a common theme? Tell us about it - write about it – express your thoughts on it. It can be about a particular brand/designer or just an observation.

2. Get some images that support your article and reference them. Either send them through with your article in jpg format with a pixel width of 440 pixels. If you don’t know how to do this, provide us with a link to the images if available online.

3. Review your work. Spell check it, read it and ask yourself the question – is this good enough for thousands of people to read? Do i want my name attached to this forever on the worldwide web?! Once you are satisfied with this, send the article through as a word document, or wordpad (txt) file with the subject “Article Submission by Joe Blogs”.
