Boutique Womenswear by Australian designer Carly HunterMasculine Tailoring Juxtaposed With Feminine DraperyRead more about Carly Hunter or view recent Carly Hunter Collections on Australian Fashion Review Blog For the Spring/Summer 2012 collection, entitled ‘Polymorphic Light Explosion’, Carly Hunter continues with her established reputation for stylish deconstructed womenswear. Carly said of the collection “I wanted to show this contrast in attitudes toward the summer light and heat in the collection with bright sheer silk and organza in cropped tanks and shorts and then heavier, darker toned linen coats and longer length skirts and dresses.” Masculine tailoring in neutral colours is juxtaposed with delicate drapery in feminine pastels, to create a collection that has both attitude and elegance. Key pieces of the collection include slouch trousers with cut-detailing a the knee, oversized blazers with boyfriend tailoring, and structural organza tank tops teamed with gossamer skirts. So without further ado we present the Spring/Summer 2011-2012 collection from Carly Hunter…enjoy!
