Since the fashion labels inception in 2003, the bec & bridge label has established itself as a leading brand for women. Stocked throughout boutique stores and within David Jones departments stores, the label has attracted a host of celebrity fans. Glossy magazines continue to feature bec & bridge garments, a further highlight of the fashion labels success. 2010 will see bec & bridge feature in its third consecutive showing at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week.

The Winter 2010 Clothing Collection features inspired garments from the Amish Communities in Lancaster Country.

“We liked the idea of exploring femininity and sensuality in an un-obvious manner. We drew inspiration from their traditional dress such as the mens shirt, the pinafore: the apron, as well as their colour palette of white, neutrals, checks, purples and blues – the colours of an Amish wedding.”

I guess traditional garments are the ‘it’ thing at the moment, although we never expected an amish-inspired collection to be cool – Bring it on!
