Aesthetic of Beau Coops
“Less is Sex” – Carrie Cooper, Founder of Beau Coops.

With each collection, Beau Coops aims to offer cleanly designed footwear that represents a lifestyle of comfort, quality and style. Beau Coops With Karen Walker
Carrie Cooper has made a name for herself as a designer footwear collaborator of choice. Cooper has had ongoing projects for Sass & Bide, Leona Edmiston and Bassike, however, Beau Coops most notable collaboration has been with Australian fashion label, Karen Walker.
The ‘Beau Coops 4 Karen Walker’ capsule collection was created for the Summer 2011 season and was debuted at Walker’s New York Fashion Week show in September 2010. Inspired by the 1960’s and the works of photographer William Eggleston, the aim was to design a shoe that feels as iconic as the product and materials found in the Eggleston’s photography. Influences were taken from formica tables, vinyl car seats and Hessian plane seat covers, to create a capsule that comprise of a sexy Margaret Thatcher-esque heel and clog style mule – the pinnacle of ‘Grandma Chic’.
