Rosemount Australian Fashion Week 2009

What do the likes of Australian fashion labels Akira, Bettina Liano, Easton Pearson, One Teaspoon and Alex Perry have in common?

They all appeared in the 2008 Rosemount Australian Fashion Week, and they have all decided to not show in 2009.

One Teaspoon have apparently decided to focus its attention on swimwear fashion week, Easton Pearson was too busy meeting with pattern makers in India, and Akira had bigger fish to fry with the recent appearance at Paris Fashion Week and therefore couldn’t put in the time, money or energy for the Australian equivalent.

Names that will still feature on the catwalks include Sass and Bide, Camilla and Marc, Nicola Finetti, Zimmerman, Lisa Ho and Kirrily Johnston. In 2008 there were 48 shows, while 2009 will feature 41.

Rosemount Australian Fashion Week runs from April 27 to May 1 2009.
