Bold Frames and Shapes From Simon Ponnusamy
Online eye-wear boutique EyeGoodies continues with its reputation for stocking the hottest eyewear collections with their latest offering, the AM Eyewear Spring/Summer 2012 collection. Founded in 2003, AM Eyewear has gained a reputation for its fashion forward aesthetic and fresh rebellious style, gaining a cult-like following throughout the globe, as well as featuring in some of the world’s biggest style bibles.
Head designer and director of AM Eyewear, Simon Ponnusamy certainly doesn’t disappoint with his Spring/Summer 2012 collection, entitled ‘Riviera Rebellion’. Inspired by ‘life on the coast from Nice to Marseille in the 1930’s through to the 1960’s’ the collection still features the signature AM Eyewear rebellious streak. The Summer 2012 line consists of frames with bold shapes and stand out pieces of the collection include, a contemporary Malcolm X frame called ‘Kaz’; and a streamlined all plastic frame, named ‘Merridy’. As ever, the colourways of the collection are impressive, featuring the limited edition ‘Milky Way’ and a new take on the classic tortoise shell, ‘Old School Tortoise’.
Each AM Eyewear frame really is something special – individually handcrafted and handpolished for up to 14 hours using only the highest quality materials. The acetate frames are constructed using Italian Mazzucchelli cellulose acetate – a far superior product to the mould injectable plastics commonly used in mass-produced frames. They really are built to last through many a season.
So without further ado we present the Spring/Summer 2012 collection from AM Eyewear…Enjoy
