Shame Alannah and her stylists stole the concept of the little woodland landscape straight from a Woman in the USA called Hannah who has her own clothing/Craft line.

To expect designers to create ideas all themselves is quite alot to ask. Like all designers, she seeks inspiration from multiple sources and gathers her ideas by using the methods of other designers, which is quite commonly done throughout the fashion industry. Chain stores are actually just cheaper versions of the high-end designers, who copy their designs, however make them in cheaper materials at a more affordable price and are released approximately six months to two years later from the date of the release of the original design. Alannah Hill’s deigns have been copied for years, however she always manages to give her designs that unique Alannah ‘tweek’, and many designers have a similar style, and if that style is in fashion, or course the clothes wil be similar, just like the leather or biker jacket which has recently become a fashion must have throughout the world. Alannah Hill has always been, and always will be a unique feminine fashion line and on of top Australian designers. Last but not least, if your going to spend this kind of money, enjoy the exciting experience of browsing through the beautiful interior of the store and trying on the gorgeous garment, as well as the final purchase, as it is all part of the thrill!

her designs are not unique at all. i have been shopping at alannah hill for quite some time, years infact…up until recently. i went shopping overseas, and walked into a store, where the man told me that his clothing was similar to that of alannah hill.

when i returned to melb, i went shopping in alannah hill approximately half a year later, and saw that her designs were almost identical to the ones in the shop. alannah hill does not design her own clothing, she outsources people for the embroidery in her designs, and she does not design all her collection herself anyway.

Totally agree. When is Alannah Hill going online.I,m always checking and end up buying similar labels online, but nothing compares to her clothing.

i did a project on her and i think Alannah Hill is an inspirational and a wonderful designer.
